Somewhat wavy,Close to mid length, Messy deep dirty blonde hair
Though it can give him trouble, He does his best to keep it slicked back in one way or another.

A light, Crystal blue sort of color.

A relatively light, Soft caramel sort of tone.

Accent:
Seeing as his vessel originated in a Dutch colony,He kept the accent,Though lightened it.

He has rather large deep brownish-gold wings.
Isn't something he shows much besides to those he trusts

Quite long and lean, but not skinny, with firmly muscled arms among others , though a bit lanky when his height is added to the equation.

Scars:
A few scars down his chest/torso from various fights along with training.
Various nicks around his shoulders,Collar bones,Chest,And back from his abusive older brother.
A faint scar running down beside his right eye down to a bit above his cheek bone, In which he got from an accident.
A rather large gash across his chest in which he got from a sword fight.
Few other little scars from nonfatal stab wounds along with things of that nature.
Quite noticeable angel banishing sigil carved into his upper back.
His wings came back tattered from the centuries he once spent in hell, And quite broken, As well with whom he used to be. No matter to how much they have healed since then, Many burn-like scars and lacerations that are splayed out across his feathers

Clothing:
Normally prefers sticking with things such as pinstripe button up tops/blazers,Some sort of dress paints or skinny jeans(which depends on the situation.),Normally combat boots as it seems to be the suitable choice for working&such,Along with some sort of coat and possibly a scarf to go with it depending on the weather.

PERSONALITY:
There has been a lot the archangel has gone through over the years. He began, When he first met the Winchesters , As an angel a bit too interested in humans---One that was not doing the job assigned. He had his more, Following orders, Sharp, Emotionless sort of personality that the angels were forced to be having there in the beginning. Until he found himself, That he wasn't going to have to listen to them. This lead to him having a sort of internal conflict. Wondering if he was doing the right thing. Figuring out what he truly wanted to do with himself had many finicky changes within his personality, And character. Gazardiel grew rebellious of the orders he was given, And fled his brothers;No, He didn't give up his grace. But he instead decided he would have to be finding his own path to developing as much of an understanding of humanity as he needed to be able to get through to the man he loved. That was the first emotion , The first purely human-like emotion he knew he had. Love. The emotion that caused him to make the decision of running from his brothers in the first place. He may have thought he had a nice understanding of the humans before, Yet never , Not until he met Sam Winchester , Did he take action to what he was beginning to feel.
Nonetheless, It was never said that gaining human emotions would be easy. He has made regrettable situations, Act of taking others lives at his own hands, And unententionally crushing situations because he thought well he was making the right choice for them. It had him lost in despair and conflicting thoughts with all of the incidental chaos;All of the situations he realized he couldn't just fix, No matter to how much he thought he could. Nonetheless, He still had the first emotion he knew he had pushing himself along to at least try and fix everything he'd broken, And save the lives of those he cares for he has left. Gazardiel has always been learning, And with each hellish situation he does begin to learn more and more. And it breaks him. It truly does. He ventured off to find a way to save his Winchester out from the cage;Oh, Yes, And it lead to centuries of pain among a range of many other things he felt while he was fighting his way through hell. He did come back, His being as tattered as his singed wings;It made him stronger as a person, In the end. He is a trust-worthy being, The most trustworthy among angels, If one would say. All he does is his best to ensure the decisions he makes will go right by trying hard as he always has.


Likes:
Takes enjoyment to musicals. Anything with a dramatic sort of flair.
Seeing as he is the angel of enlightenment, Normally he's eager to teach others things.
Isn't very good with cooking , But enjoys it anyhow.
He's a lover of classical music.
As does he deeply enjoy anything artistic.
Books , Stories, Etc. He did guard the knowlege and books of Heaven, After all.
He finds himself enjoying taking care of plants;Gardening.
Studying human behaviour has grown to be an enjoyment of his.

Most angels besides those in which aren't hunting him down.

Out of all things human,The only thing he dislikes would be some of their attitudes towards others.

Fears:
Pulling those he cares for into danger,And it being his fault.The last thing he'd want is for them to get hurt because of him.
Losing the last of his family that he has,Especially those he is very close with.
Heaven as a whole falling because of him.Yet that is simply a general fear,Even if it weren't his fault.
Being unable to help keep the few he is close to out of danger,Such as if he were to fall completely from Heaven,Or just generally not being able to do anything to help.
Wars or mentions of wars typically tend to put him on edge whether it relate to his time spent in the london blitz,Those in heaven,Or other battles.
To be honest,Being alone is something he fears the very most.Feeling,Completely and utterly alone without anyone,In particular.
Having to fight his way through hell or purgatory again.He's died many times in the names of those he cares for,And one day,He fears he might not be able to fight his way back out again.-
Though it's more out of guilt,He is terrified of being looked down upon from his family because he left in a time of need so many years ago.

Dreams:
Possibly having somewhere permanant to live for once,At some point.
Getting children in the near future.(Him and Sam have considered a surrogate,Once they're in a safe place.)
All of,Or at least some,Of his brothers beginning to get along again.
Possibly opening up a library or music shop for those of the human world yet again.
Living somewhere nice,With pretty scenery,If he were to get the chance of settling down.
Not having to nearly constantly have to worry about getting into danger rather than feeling something bad will happen.
Knowing that his husband will be safe,Again something he can't help but to worry heavily about.
Safety,Is generally,Something he dreams of most,Though.

Abilities:
Of course Gazaridel has the typical angelic abilities, Though they are/were heightened due to his rank as an archangel. Ranging from Telekenisis, Healing , Creating illusions, Teleporting, Etc. Yet such powers have grown relatively limited due to being partially cut from Heaven.
Otherwise,He is relatively well with playing the violin,Which is something he learned around the first time he came to earth.
He is not an idiot;Just because he has his sympathies and is kind does not mean he cannot be manipulative. He is a highly intelligent angel, And will use such as he needs.
Gazardiel has grown to be very familiar and sharper with his understanding of humans. And so he finds himself communicating with them better as well.
His deep care and his need to help others can be considered a good thing , A good quality. It can be considered to be rather an ability, Considering it's an uncommon trait among the soldiers of his kind.
He is well with opening doors to the other realms;Which is how he found himself scratching through Purgatory, Then Hell to go in search of his lover in the cage. Yet it does have it's flaws. Such a door did close behind him for quite some time, After all.
Heightened senes. Hearing, His sense of smell, Sight, All of it.
He finds himself to be skilled with knowing much of the more unknown parts of the Enochian language. He did gaurd the knowledge of Heaven all that time ago, After all.

Flaws:
Discovering his bravery is certainly something which has lead to making reckless decisions.
Judgement gets a bit clouded by emotion whenever he must do something in which might get his loved ones hurt.
His militiary-like demanour due to being trained to basically be a soldier of heaven is hard to get to go away at times.
Considering he is half way to falling from heaven completely,Some of his abilities in which were once strong have more limited use.
No matter how hard he may try to make the right decisions,They make more trouble despite his good intentions,Normally,It seems.
He will go very far to keep Sam safe,Which has lead to even worse things happen after he may try something big to get him back,Depending on the situation.
Healing,And more human-like weapons can harm him at least a little,As it,Too,Is limited now that he is a bit disconnected from Heaven's power.
He isn't very well with combat,Hence the reasons he normally just uses his powers&the such.Though he is fast.
Considering he is getting to learn more of human behaviours,The angels have become much more wary of him since then.
His willingness to do anything to keep those he cares for safe can lead him into a good bit of trouble.
Tends to struggle with making decisions;Especially if those he cares about are at risk.

Human he was assigned to protect/Friend after a while/Eventual Boyfriend/Husband:Sam Winchester: Although at first he was quite wary of having an angel around,Considering the first time he would have came back to Earth would have been when Sam was just getting into college,And that had also been quite some time before either of the Winchesters even knew much of angels,Eventually they managed to begin getting along fairly well.He was practically sent their to be his guardian angel in the first place around the time,Or a bit before he was even born in the first place,Which is one reason out of quite a few in which would explain why he is so protective of,And seems to have an utmost trust for whom would basically be "his human".Over at least three or so years after he began joining back into the family business,It took time,But eventually the angel really began to realize that what he was doing to keep him safe wasn't even entirely out of being assigned to do so,But because he had actually developed strong feelings for him over all of the time he had been watching over him,And no matter how much he knew that he probably shouldn't,He did admit it and surprisingly,Him and Sam very soon after began dating.Of course,They have had their highs and lows together,Rough patches,And arguments after all the two of them have had to go through over the years,But despite that they still get along and love each other just as they have currently,And recently got married. Gazardiel will support Sam Winchester in most everything he does, And will tell him when he does not;Unlike his older brother, He does have a sense of support when it comes to Sam chosing when he wants his fate. He would be willing to lead him to the afterlife, After all. But at the same time, He does work as a sort of moral compass for the young Winchester, As does Sam for Gazardiel.

Friend/Enemyean Winchester: Even though him and Dean have a tendency of arguing a lot it doesn't mean Gazardiel doesn't like him. One of the only reasons Dean seems to have a hard time getting along with the angel is because of how protective he seems to be over his brothers even though more than half of the angels seem to be annoying or bad to Dean. Gazardiel tends to be rather protective over the Eldest Winchester as well no matter to that he has Castiel among others for so. Their relationship does have complications , Nonetheless. He finds himself venomous towards the eldest of the brothers at the betreyal he often sees between both he and Sam, And usually , This has him acting bitterly towards Dean when he knows it is he whom started the rucuss between the siblings. As has he viewed how selfish Dean can be when it comes to his actions with keeping Sam close and betreying him when he decided upon making his own decisions;This he knew before the youngest Winchester began to see what was going on as well, After he very nearly lost his life recently, Only to be forced to be saved by being taken as vessel by the angel Gadreel. It is not because he doesn't love his dear Sam, Because , Truly, He does very deeply;He merely finds himself to be much more supportive of allowing him to do what he wants rather than having the controlling air as Dean does.
But Dean does try to be friends with the archangel, No matter otthe squabbling that will outburst between them at times.

Close Friend:Jane Smith:A young woman of whom he trusts very deeply. And she is someone he frequents spending time with outside of the supernatural hunting trips and the such they have gone on over the years, And where they first came into contact. Jane taught him various intersting things ever since he first came across her roughly five years before;Concepts of being human, A different viewpoint. As did he grow a close friendship with her after just a little while of curiously trailing around after this human. Of course, They have had a bit of bad blood here and there, And arguments, As most friendships do have at some point, But Gazardiel truly does care for her. He finds himself trusting she very much so and will come to her rather than most anyone else in his time of trouble. As does he do the same for her when his dear friend is in need of someone to be close to in a time of trouble.

Friend/Mentor:Cain:After he found himself back on Earth following his traveling through Hell for centuries upon centuries to rescue his lover, It was Cain whom first found him;Wary, Considering it wasn't at all pleasurable to find an angel on his doorstep after years of managing to escape the drama of heaven and hell, But he did find himself intruiged, Nonetheless. It was similar to teaching a fledgling how to fly again, If one would say. He was deeply scarred both psyically and mentally by his time in Hell, And so he had to have someone to pull him back to sanity, And teach him how to maintain these memories of such a place without going on a rampage. Cain is an intelligent sort of demon, And he knows very well how to deal with such a burden without having to deal with it with strong dread for years upon years---He helped him back. It took time, A lot of begrudging time to get Cain to trust him in the first place, Yet he did. He and the archangel did obtain a nice friendship as he worked on bringing him back from the monster he could have turned to be with the memopries of chaos and hellfire dwelling sharply within his mind, No matter to how much struggle it did take to help him with such. And yet there was a cost to his helping him;Cain did teach him how to bear the horrid memories, But it did cause a bit of a reset in his being. It brought him back to 'soldier mode'. The warrior of god he  was supposed to act to be. And yet, In the end, He did manage to be pulled back to what he was, The kind ,Caring angel with the emotions he had with the help of Sam Winchester. Never did he resent Cain for being sent back to being a soldier for a while there. Never. He is greatful to have been helped, And the knight of hell remains to be a good friend of his.

Close friendanica Hazel:He protected her fiercly, Within the time she was bering hunted down by the other angels due to her being such a dying out species of angel as she is. He knows the difference between right and long very well, And them killing an innocent young woman was not something he intended to allow. This young woman was not like the creatures of the Nephlim, Of whom tended to be vicious;She had her own human prespective, Kind, Trustworthy. A being he did not want to be harmed by the less than pleasurable members of his kind. Of course, She can have quite the attitude towards most more often than not, But this doesn't appear tobe the case as often when it comes to the archangel Gazardiel;Surprisingly, Such a fiery young woman does have a strong sense of trust for him, And has for quite some time now. Nonetheless, Such closeness doesn't come without issues at times;Danica will lash out on him when it is not intended, And of course, She isn't one to be all that supportive of how venomous he can get with her lover, Dean Winchester , Even when he is on the wrong in what decissions he might be attempting to make for his younger brother. He does not fight back, Though. He may be the argumative type, Yet, He finds himself more worried and gentle when he tries calming her down. He does tend to concern about her constantly, Actually. Which he has good reason for. If there is someone that he would be near to being just as protective as he is over Sam, It would most certainly be her.

Friend/Enemy(?): Meg Masters:No matter how much was wary towards her at first they started getting along a lot better once she tried kinder towards The Winchesters along with his little brother,Castiel. Though he is still rather hesitant around her as she has betrayed them many times in the past he still spends time with her occasionally and helps her whenever she may need it to make up for what she has done to help him quite a few times.
Once she gives him company after heaven fell,He actually grew to be quite close to her,Too. There will always be a sense of wariness between them, Nonetheless. Trust isn't something that comes easily from the archangel, Especially when it comes to something as risky as trusting a demon such as herself.

Otherwise, When it comes to enemies, Gazardiel does have many of these as well.


Family:
Older brother:Seraphiel:Always, Gazardiel had looked up to his older brother ever since he was a very young angel;Seraphiel was what Castiel had with Gazardiel. The kind, Sweet older brother having been there to take care of his young fledgling brother. He taught little Gazardiel about the world, Taught him the vast amount of knowledge he hungered for , Among many other lessons he had given to him. And they loved one another, As brothers should. He taught him how to fly, How to nest;The skills he would need in his future to he a fantastic angel, In his eyes. Gazardiel is closer to him than any of his brothers,Since the older angel had practically raised him when he was first ‘created’ after no one else seemed to take an interest in him. They became the best of friends,Really,Rarely leaving each others side for many,Many years that they spent up in heaven.Sadly,For quite some time the two of them were split up after he soon left off to earth once a dreadful war broke out,Having to leave his older brother behind.Although,Like any other siblings do,There has been a good bit of arguing here and there,But it's obvious they remain to be quite close.Out of all of his brothers,It's him that he trusts the very most,To be honest.

Older brother: Lucifer:He used to adore him;Just as the rest of his siblings did, Looking up to the morning star. Dear Lucifer was quite close with his younger brother out of all of the archangels beneath him--He found him to be fascinating, So sweet, And loyal. And of course he did find it to be admirable, How much the little angel did look up to him at the time. While he might have had a closeness with the angel Seraphiel, He and Lucifer were differently close. The morning star stood as more of a father figure that he nor any of the other archangels ever had. Yet it appeared Gazardiel's whole world fell apart when Lucifer was sent off to the cage; He didn't know what to think. Someone he had idolized so much was being punished for something that wasn't entirely wrong, Or at least thins is what the little archangel thought. He was never as close as the humans as he is now, After all. His feelings towards his older brother grew cold over the years;Calous. They especially began to have issues of intense betreyal when Lucifer returned to mess with the person he loves most, Sam Winchester. Gazardiel was willing to express the sense of hatred he did grow to have for his brother by then. It was merely a feeling of loss and betreyal, And it was innevitable for it to show through. But Lucifer still does love Gazardiel ,Despite it. The rather heartbreaking end of it all.

Little Brother:Castiel: He loves him to death. He’s his little brother,Therefore he feels the need to protect him no matter what. Like when he was first created,He understands what it was like to not be taken care of except just by one or two siblings.And of course him and Gabriel became that to him. They’ve always gotten along very well.Like many siblings do,Of course the two of them have had issues before whether it deal with arguing over something or not.Despite that he has always believed in his little brother,And will remain on his side through whatever he may do next. Gazadriel's little brother and his favorite younger sibling. Gazardiel taught Castiel how to fly as a fledgling and tried his best to keep him away from the increasing fighting between their siblings when they were younger. Years later, he still feels very protective towards Castiel and will do anything to keep him safe, Especially through his phases of rebellion.

Eldest Brother:Micheal:Even ever since he was young the relationship with his brother had always been rather twisted,And complicated.His eldest never seemed to pay all that much respect nor attention towards himself as being one of the archangels,Seeing as he was always distracted by either getting their father's attention or being brotherly towards his older siblings.This caused a drift between them,And they never got all that close.Now,After all that happened with him returning,Things have only managed to get worse.

Older Brother:Gabrielddly enough,Out of the archangels,He would be the next closest to the young Gazardiel.Seeing as he always seemed to be much more friendly,Kind towards his younger siblings unlike a few of his others,It wasn't all that hard for him to warm up towards him ever since he was just a young fledgling.And of course,The strong love for the brother he grew closely with remains,And too enjoys spending time around him whenever he could possibly get the chance.

Older Brother: Balthazar: They fight a lot,But it’s mostly jokingly. Yet Gazardiel loves his brother though he can be a pain in the ass more than half of the time.

Younger brother: Samandriel: Gazardiel gets along well with his little brother as he was not only the one whom helped teach him how to fly when he was still a fledgling,Yet they also fought in the war together. He is very protective of Samandriel,Doing his very best to be sure demons and such won’t capture him again.



Backstory:
Gazardiel first came to Earth alongside his older brother,Gabriel,Around the time Lucifer was near to being put into the cage as the two couldn't stand the fighting between their family members any longer.Around this time,The young angel had mostly been switching between vessels throughout his first century on Earth,And in those years he did many different things for the sake of studying human behaviour such as getting many different jobs,And even attending the first few colleges/schools that were forming around that time. He mostly avoided interacting with many of his brothers and sisters that were,Too,Coming to Earth in vessels as well,Spending most of his time studying and learning from the humans he would encounter all over the world where he may have been traveling to.This made the once wary and misanthropic angel grow to love humankind,And enjoyed being around them than even the angels,Especially due to all of the drama that was going on in Heaven around the time he first leftt. His first and current vessel was Basilius Aalbers, A young man in the Dutch colonies back in the 18th century, Roughly.
He never really got much of a permanant sort of home nor location up until the nineteen-fourties,Where he decided to move off to London to help those whom might have been getting hurt during the beginning of World war two.He decided to live there throughout the entirety of the war,Working as an army doctor throughout various hospitals there and a few other places that were being affected by both the fighting and the bombing. Of course he wasn't one whom was very fond of wars nor fighting,But he stuck around for quite some time even after it ended after he grew an interest in medicine and being a healer from all of the medical-related work he had been doing for quite some time by then. But as usual,It didn't take the angel long to want to move on to other things yet again,Being around the time of the early nineteen-fifties when he finally went off to get a new vessel and yet another new sort of job. And this is where he got his current vessel,Whom was a member of the Men of Letters named Basilius Aalbers. Although he was wary of both taking yet another vessel,He did eventually settle into a supernatural esque job rather than just running off to do something else in which would suit his interests.This lead to him meeting with whom would be his first connection to the Winchester family,The father of John,Henry Winchester.For those several years of the fifties up until nineteen fifty-eight,Gazardiel continued to pose as one of the human scholars whom researched,And eventually hunted things of the supernatural world. This lasted for quite some time up until the dissapearence of one of the members,And the deaths of most of the rest,Then due to one of the knights of hell,Abbadon,He was then sent&locked back into Heaven,To his dismay.
There he remained being forced to be trained into a little soldier of their's yet again for at least twenty five years or so Earth-time,Having to deal with all that had been going on among his family up until he was finally assigned on a mission to go back to Earth. Said mission was getting to see the newly born human he was assigned to watch over.On May the second of 1983 Gazardiel set off to visit Sam Winchester at the hospital's nursery merely hours after he was born. Even though he was rather hesitant of protecting a human at first,Considering that was something he hadn't had to do before of all things,He eventually grew to be very fond of the idea of protecting over him from the various things that he could.The only problem about him eventually growing to genuinely care about the young boy was if and when he were to ever notice the angel's presence when protecting him from one thing or another,His memory of whatever may have happened must be erased immediatly. This lead to him just watching him afar for many,Many years up until Sam had enrolled into college. As his vessel still looked relatively young enough,He,Too,Decided to enroll for a short amount of time in hope he could get closer to him for once.
Even though he was scared to death of rebelling from Heaven at the time he started to get closer and closer to the both of the Winchester brothers,Which lead to him expressing emotion towards the younger of the two once whatever the angels had put on him memory-wise faded,And he finally got to spend time with and be remembered by both him and his brother.. That nearly got him kicked out several times,Though he was able to pass as he somehow managed to talk his older brother out of it.
Soon after Jessica died and Sam got into hunting again,He slowly began to follow them out on cases which lead to him dropping out of the college he was at for nearly two years. While time went on,And he began hunting with them over that time,He started to doubt the orders Micheal was giving him.Which only lead him closer and closer to rebelling from heaven no matter how much he really didn't want his siblings to hate him.
As time went on he couldn't exactly help expressing emotions,Specifically those of attraction and adoration to go along with his protective demanour,Towards Sam. Eventually he ignored that it was a dangerous decision to fall for a mortal,And after the encouragement he was getting from one of his closest friends,Danica,He finally decided to admit his feelings to the younger of the two brothers. And to his suprise,He both returned the feelings and began dating him shortly after.
From that point on,No matter how much running he had to do to get away from his siblings AND to keep them from hurting the Winchesters,He continued to hunt with them more often than not.

Introduction:
There he stood.A tall,Fair skinned man with deep dirty blonde hair.Although out of all of his generally appealing features his icy blue eyes were something others tended to notice most among other things about him.Out of all of the angels whom had caused trouble ever since the time in which two brothers.Two demon hunters had became their targets,This gentle creature was far from that to them.Unlike most he had always seemed to be kind.To be helpful,And loyal to the boys he befriended unlike any of the others he met before.And that is what made him stick out so much to them.

For years out of the long time that he first arrived back on Earth so many years ago in his first vessel,He had learned so very much about the people around him.There were always things about human kind that he would manage to get himself interested into ever since he arrived,From the centuries he went by the occupation of a knight of Camelot,Up until an army doctor during the London blitz during the years of the late forties along with so much more the angel had done throughout the entirety of his life time thus far.If anything,He seemed to human.As human as one could get from being an angel,Of course.Studying humankind as a whole is really what seemed to change him to be different from his siblings so much out of all of it.

There was never a time that he would have even dared to take a strike at the new species that were placed on the planet ever since his father first created it.Ever since the start he had taken a broad curiosity in it which is what first led him into fleeing from Heaven around the time the war broke out which is where his story of living out his years upon the whole new world he could travel began.Ever since then over the years of a rather nervous curiosity of what he could have done,Where he could of traveled,And what exactly he could have done,Eventually he grew a strong bravery out of that.For many centuries,It seemed,He would grow close to the various human beings he would encounter and spend time with during with whatever he may have been working or even studying at around then.Although,There was never anyone he got as closely to as he did with the youngest of the brothers,Sam Winchester.And he was the first assignment he was truly given to do by his own people.
